Description

This is the original 10” U.S. deep groove “P”-pressing of Gigi Gryce “And His Big Band” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 5049.  Side 1 has two small scratches at the intro that produce occasional low-level tics for the first two minutes, then three louder tics; Track 2 has a scratch at the intro that produces a few very low-level tics; the rest of the record (including Side 2) is in excellent condition.  The coated Lexington Ave. cover (with artwork by Gil Melle) is in extraordinary condition - clean and bright throughout – with just a ¼” bump at the lower left corner.  Personnel include Clifford Brown, Art Farmer, Quincy Jones, and Alan Dawson. $200.00.
