THE GIGI GRYCE QUINTET "THE RAT RACE BLUES" LP - On NEW JAZZ Records, #8262. Original MONO 1st pressing from 1961 in outstanding condition! The classic purple label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides with RVG stamper in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. The personnel: Gigi Gryce/alto sax; Richard Williams/trumpet; Richard Wyands/piano; Julian Euell/bass; Granville "Mickey" Roker/drums. The vinyl is in phenomenal M- condition (beautiful gloss & luster)...stunning!! Both labels are pristine. The thick laminated cover is in superb shape and displays wonderfully. There are NO seam splits, NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. The songs are: The Rat Race Blues; Strange Feelin'; Boxer's Blues; Blues In Bloom; Monday Through Sunday.***Includes the original rice paper inner sleeve!***
