Description

Here is an extremely rare record album with an extraordinary cover and record. This is the original pressing of THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN Soundtrack composed by GIL MELLE and it is in NEAR MINT condition. Released by Kapp Records in 1971, the record is hexagonal in shape and the cover has a unique, hexagonal "flower-pod" pocket glued onto stiff cardboard. The cover is very shiny, with a blue, red, and silver op-art design on the one side and the silver pocket on the other.

Tracks include; Wildfire, Hex, Andromeda, Desert Trip, The Piedmont Elegy, Op, Xenogenesis, and Strobe Crystal Green.

I don’t think this record has ever been played. Cover has a couple of small dings. Original paper inner sleeve with warning label (trying to save your phonograph needle from damage). Cover is near mint. Record is MINT (I’ve never used mint to describe an opened record but this one qualifies). U.S. buyer to pay 5.00 for insured shipping. International rate will vary.
