LP: (Graded) Very Good, according to Goldmine record grading definitions. Has light scratches, sleeve scuffs and hairlines, all of which are superficial and seen for the most part in harsh direct light - but nothing that presents a tracking issue as play tested (see below for specifics on playback).

On Side A / Track One there is a scratch (see photos) of moderate depth but more than superficial, which lightly, but audibly modulates and then dissipates shortly into Track Two. Playback has been tested several times on two turntables with quality elliptical styli and there are no tracking issues aside from the modulation. More on this in Play Grading below.

Still has nice plating gloss and labels are still in good shape, but with a few spindle trails. It is thoroughly clean and turntable ready.

Play Graded - Very Good Plus (generally) - and Very Good on Track One of Side One. On the below scale, this LP would be in the neighborhood of 7.2 or better, in terms of surface noise as contrasted with the perfect score of 10 on the graph, which is the total absence of surface noise. The recording and engineering of these Blue Notes are great, but the quality of the raw PVC used to press them was mostly far from ideal and as a result, surface noise from ordinary scuffs and scratches - or, in other grades, none at all, are indistinguishable from the sound of the vinyl plating itself in many instances.

Cover: (Graded) Very Good - medium degree of ring / shelf / edgewear but not trashed and has all solid seams.  There is a small pencil note of a price from back in the day in the upper Left rear corner of the jacket. A bit of fading on the margins of the back cover.  The LP will be shipped with a new, semi- transparent, round bottom, anti-static innersleeve and a new, ultra clear outer jacket sleeve.
