Description
This record is part of a series: New Faces-New Sounds. 767 Lexington Ave., NYC address on both labels, deep groove, original. Gil Melle, tenor sax on all 8 tracks. 4 tracks also include Eddie Bert (referred to as "X. Kentonite"}, trombone; Tal Farlow, guitar; Clyde Lombardi, bass; Joe Morello, drums from 1953. 4 tracks also includes Bert, trombone; Joe Manning, vibes; George Wallington, piano; Red Mitchell, bass; Max Roach, drums; Monica Dell, vocal (on the tune "Mars").
Cover: VG 2" split on the bottom edge. Light to moderate aging on the back cover. Old price written in pencil in the upper margin corner.
Recordd: Fair+ Visually shows light wear. There are 3 or 4 short, light surface rub marks on both sides. In spite of the relatively goo appearance, there is cracling on all tracks. The music can be heard clearly but the noise is pervasive. On 1 or 2 tracks the noise is somewhat less audible. Those interested should be aware of the surface noise. Audibly checked.
