Gil Scott-Heron's Striking 1970 Debut! "A New Black Poet" for Flying Dutchman. Pristine inside gatefold has full page article (reprinted from Jazz & Pop Magazine (a terrific magazine in its time) by Jazz Critic and Opinion writer, Nat Hentoff. Provides a great introduction to who 21-year old Gil Scott-Heron's . . . poetry, music influences and political philosophies are all about. The highlight is the groundbreaking piece, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." This piece made it to some urban formatted stations and Underground FM stations in most major markets at the time. If there was ever a recording that opened the door to Grandmaster Flash' s "The Message," this was it!!! 
Of note: There is a light yellowish blemish (about 4" long) on the left side of the inside gatefold. Front cover shows some aging of the black finish on the left side of the front cover and a small abrasion on the lowest point of the spine. Otherwise, all seams are fully intact!
