Description
Pianist Gil Suarez formed his band the Hi-Latins in 1965. This is his 3rd LP, recorded Novemeber 15, 1967 and released in early 1968. It's a collection of shing-a-lings, boogalu, a bolero, a guaguanco, a bomba and even a guajira. This is before the salsa era stopped identifying the rhythms of the songs....Mike Rivera is the sonero and Oscar Garcia plays vibes. Gil wrote "Suavito" which Johnny Pacheco used as his theme song after scoring a cross over hit with the Suarez tune., he was also a first call arranger. Max Salazar wrote the liner notes. Noted musician Johnny Albino produced the session.

LP jacket has no seam separation, top edge has visible wear and slight tearing, side edge is in very good condition with wear marks at top n bottom, the bottom edge shows some wear with a 1-inch tear in the center. Front cover shows some rub wear on top and bottom.Back cover has some very slight ring wear at top and bottom with 4 x marks by tracks 2 and 3 of side one and songs 7 and 9 on side 2....see photo
Record shows no spindle wear, Both sides of the vinyl show very slight superficial markings that are not detectable by touch. VG+
