Description

This is the five-disc HMV set of Neveu playing (Dobrowen conducting) Brahms's Concerto in D Major. The set's comprised of five discs; however the first disc has only one playing side. These are 12" shellac discs, and everyone will know that they're 78s.

This is a superlative set. I've taken pictures of each side of each disc (save for the non-playing side of Disc 1). The shimmer and gloss is real; it's not lens-flare. These pictures were taken without a flash. Please do your own visual grading, but this is a prime example of this rare Neveu recording.

With the right turntable and amp these will be a true experience.

The HMV catalog range is DB9126-DB9130. (The discs are numbered 9126, 9127, 9128, 9129, and 9130.)
