(Decca SXL 2208-10 UK 3 x LP 1958)
This is an original UK Stereo Triple LP pressing in great overall condition! This is the very earliest UK pressing which has a red outer wallet. This has a clear PVC pocket on the front which the Booklet/ Libretto fits into. The rear part of the red wallet is reinforced with an inner card support. All three records come with their original polythene-lined "FFSS" company inner sleeve.
The records are pressed on thick vinyl & have ED1 "wide band" Decca labels which are grooved also. They have the "Original Recordings By.." text on them.
Record 1: Side 1 and Side 6
Has 1st press ZAL-3781-1E and ZAL-3786-2E matrix numbers.
Record 2: Side 2 and Side 5
Has 1st press ZAL-3782-2K and ZAL-3785-1E matrix numbers.
Record 3: Side 3 and Side 4
Has 1st press ZAL-3783-2K and ZAL-3784-3E matrix numbers
This is a genuine 1960 UK Stereo 1st pressing with the earliest matrix numbers & red wallet sleeve. These are quite rare & this copy is in great condition too! I have some other rare UK Classical/ Opera LP's for sale. So please see my other listings. Don't miss out!
Outer PVC Sleeve/ Red Wallet: There is a minuscule 1 cm part of the top seal that has split from the main body. It is very minor (Please see the last photo). There is a minimal 0.5 cm tear & crease at the clear PVC pocket opening. This is near the bottom. There is some light to very mild ringwear on some areas too. NEAR EX condition.
Booklet/ Libretto: The Booklet is totally complete. There are no loose pages or tears. The staples have not rusted. There are some light or very mild handling creases on some pages. VG++ condition.
Vinyl 1: Superb! Just some very minor sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. These are on a few areas only. The polythene inner sleeve has left some light or very minor marks primarily on the dead wax areas only. A strong EX+ condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition and show minimal spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in Near Excellent condition. There is a small sticker on one side. There is some light or very mild ringwear & fading. There are no seam splits.
I have play tested this LP in its entirety & it plays Excellent to Excellent+ overall. There is some light or very minor crackle in a very few of the quieter places. Overall, a great audio copy!

MINT Condition = As good as a copy you would buy from a shop, immaculate!
NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light. SOME WOULD CLASS THIS AS MINT. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect - very minimal wear only.
EX Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows virtually no defects. Maybe one or two light needle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under strong light. There will be no scratches. Play will be near perfect with no distortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.
NEAR EX Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only; that barely detract from the sound quality. Cover may have slight creasing or ringwear. A very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
VG Condition = A well played but serviceable copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears. The record will not be trashed!!

Royal Mail have very recently increased their postage rates. So I have revised my postage costs to reflect their increases. (Please note that these prices include packaging costs too)

All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7". I use a cruciform box for larger orders (4-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 2-3 days after payment.
I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).
I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...Sorry, I only accept Paypal, or money sent in a registered letter from overseas buyers.
