Description
Glastonbury Fayre
(2006 Akarma 3LP reissue plus all inserts)
Legendary UK 3LP set originally from 1972 including otherwise unavailable music from The Grateful Dead, Mighty Baby, Hawkwind, Gong, Pink Fairies, Edgar Broughton and hard to find tracks from David Bowie, Pete Townshend, Marc Bolan, Brinsley Schwarz & Skin Alley. All artists donated their music freely in order to pay the running costs of the second Glastonbury Fayre festival.
This excellent quality reissue reproduces all of the original packaging so the 3 LPs are housed in a massive six-fold two sided cover which is itself housed in a printed PVC cover and comes with a booklet, poster, a cut out silver pyramid and a cut out dome. All in perfect condition.
Sleeve – Mint All perfect, as expected the outer PVC cover has some very minor creases but nothing of any consequence.
Inserts – Mint All are in perfect condition.
Records – Mint The Grateful Dead side has been played once, the other five sides are unplayed.
A good complete copy of the original issue costs a couple of hundred pounds these days so a perfect exact reissue for this price has to be a bargain!
