Description

For the Cubs collector! The original 45 Go Cubs Go written produced and performed by Steve Goodman in 1984 before the season opened. Steve was a folk singer best know for his hit "The City of New Orleans" a true Chicago Cubs fan he passed away 6 months after recording it at the age of 36 and his ashes were scattered at Wrigley Field.

Made for WGN Radio 720 with proceeds going to The Neediest Kids Fund and was used for the radio station's Cubs Theme for many years and now played at the end of every winning home game. FLY THE "W".

Paper sleeve is aged but in good shape. This record has been hardly played and still sounds great. Could be framed.
