Description

This is perhaps where Barry absolutely nails The Bond theme and musical format. And.... In stereo at 1st press this is not only going to sound amazing, but is quite a hard find too. In '64 stereo was still very much the underdog. 1st pressing heavy-set vinyl large format mention of stereo....'recording 1st pub' exhibiting. Stampers 1A/1A - one of the very 1st stampers - excellent audio provenance. Comes housed in an original stereo cover with Emitex inner. So 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) Light use excellent lustre minimal markings. Plays really nice by and large - EXCELLENT with one slight deviation. Even into those moody atmospheric slow build passages. This is an historic soundtrack and deserves a top of the line copy to do it full justice. You will get the odd static crackle occasionally in those almost fully quiet gaps. A couple of minor ticks and a few crackles in the 'KOREAN'. Probably the fussiest moment on the whole record - and still pretty good all the same. This is a classic soundtrack. And this is a classic rendition! Totally badass...wait for the brass to come in and chime in rhythm. Wait for the twangy guitar at the start of side 2. Highly addictive. If there is one Bond soundtrack to have on 1st press vinyl.....THIS IS IT!
Cover(Vg+) Lovely front with little sign of creasing. Rear is exhibiting some ageing, but has escaped the worst of it.. Minimal edge wear. Spine text is mostly still legible - but there's some wear and ageing at the bottom end.
Inner (Vg) One split internally repaired. Aged a bit.
