Description

Rare 1st pressing copy of Gong’s extraordinary 1973 album on the very early black and white Virgin label, catalogue number V2007. This copy comes complete with a booklet, only included with initial copies. Both the cover and the booklet have obvious wear but are intact. Not a top copy then, but it will do fine until that NM example comes along. Matrix numbers are A-2U/B-3U

Sleeve VG Generally in very good shape, particularly the centrefold. The outside of the gatefold shows scuffing and minor discoloration.
 
Labels Ex+ Very clean with moderate spindle traces.

Inner Brand new polylined bag.

Booklet VG- Obvious handling wear and creasing. All pages are present.

Record Visually VG, a nice shine to vinyl still but there are quite a few visible hairlines, scuffs and sleeve-removal marks. All of these are superficial however and there is nothing serious or offensive. I have fully play-tested the record and it sounds fine throughout, some crackle in the quieter moments but mostly clear and well-defined audio. No sticks or jumps on my deck.
