High Gloss Vinyl, super-clean - just shy of true NM with a very few faintest sleeve hairlines barely visible under hard bright light. Bright, clean labels both sides, with faint spindle trails visible at angle to light.

Very mild shelf wear, front; light ring wear back and a few soft edge/corner creases. Promo sticker front and small promo notch on bottom edge. Spine text completely legible. No splits.

Most of these GONG / DAEVID ALLEN LPs were signed by Daevid Allen at his signing appearance at my record store in 1980 when I produced him in concert (Carmel California, Private invite-only gig) in a wonderful Dinner Theater - the house stage was already set for an ongoing Play as an eccentric English sitting room and was a spot-on backdrop, once Daevid had added his special touches and set pieces - during his 'DIVIDED ALIEN CLOCKWORKS' period. Some were signed after the gig; some signed the next morning (at Breakfast ...we took Daevid and his lady Maggie out to eat before he left town). a few were signed at the 'Manifestival of Progressive Rock" earlier that year in L.A.,or later that evening at a party in Hollywood where he played unannounced. This was when I initially suggested the Carmel Concert to him... My good friend Lance (and indeed my record store employee - and a dyed-in-the-wool GONG freak) was there at all times. Lance (former owner of all these LPs) put Daevid to the test with never-ending signing requests - and Daevid signed them all in different ways, sometimes with his various alter-egos - and eventually, he signed yet a 2nd copy of MAGICK BROTHER - as "EDITH SITWELL". Only then did Lance finally stop asking him to sign more LPs.

He signed the inner sleeve for this one: "for my ole fredned & Radio Gnome - daevid 1980".
*Lance's Radio DJ nom d'plum was "The Radio Gnome".

...a few light 'Breakfast' stains on the inner sleeve - Daevid signed it at breakfast.

YOU is the third of GONG's "Radio Gnome Invisible" trilogy of albums, following Flying Teapot and Angel's Egg. The trilogy forms a central part of the Gong mythology. The structure of the album mixes short narrative pieces with long, trippy instrumentals (such as "Master Builder", "A Sprinkling of Clouds" and "Isle of Everywhere"), building to a climax/conclusion with "You Never Blow Yr Trip Forever".

who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s.
Sadly he has now finally left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.

I do NOT EVER want to exclude all bidders from any particular country, even though a few specific countries are responsible for almost all spurious "not received" or "not as described" claims over the years. This evolves... for instance in France, buyers from Ile de France area seem, more and more, to be very prone to make a false claim. (one of my earliest, very best customers was from Ile de France but moved to Belgium some years back) ...so even there, I hate to exclude ALL buyers from there; however I cannot possibly afford to be scammed due to the unlucky result of a winning bidder being a bad actor. Also it seems to be the fun game recently for some in Germany, Spain and Italy to buy far more than the collector can afford and make false claims on many of them. Again I will need to know you can be trusted. Many, many great buyers in all those countries, but plenty of trouble comes from them as well. Brazil has terrible post/mail problems. Italy has long Customs hold times. In NONE of those cases is it my fault and I will not lose out because of other countries' problems beyond my control. Occasional problems from China and Russia -I reserve the right to cancel a sale or bids from any buyer, case-by-case if I note problematic behavior or red flags.

Having said that, I will not ever cancel any bidders with solid, good reputations and feedback.
