Description
Original first press, white cover, numbered stamp. (1298)
Very rare and desirable cover is in great shape, a few minor defects that do not distract from the overall look. Records, unfortunately have seen better handling. Major scuffs to IDIOTS side, (all four sides have visible off-putting marks.) (see pics)
SPIDER record is cracked. It is a major crack that extends well onto the playing surface.(see last pic)
Despite this, both records play through with no skips, the sound quality is loud clear and extremely listenable. The crack sits flat and makes no difference to the playback. I think the sleeve itself is worth the starting price, the records look bad but you'll be more than happy with the sound.
POSTAGE RATES ARE £2.30 FOR UPTO 3 RECORDS ONLY. PLEASE WAIT FOR INVOICE IF YOU PURCHASE MORE. I WILL CANCEL SALES IF YOU "PAY NOW" ON OVER 3 RECORDS, I CAN ONLY FIT 3 SINGLES COMFORTABLY IN A MAILER (THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING)
I've sold over 300 singles lately and its becoming a massive operation, taking pictures, cropping to size and writing descriptions. The major hassle is trying to photograph extremely light hairlines/record removal marks on the vinyl under strong light that have no affect on the playing of the record. I still have thousands to go, need to streamline this a bit or i'll be here for years. I have been asked for a reduction in sales price only once, i missed an unglued seam...full refund was given, i'm an honest seller and don't want to mislead in anyway. Check my feedback and buy with confidence.
New template for all listings to save time....
From now on i'll only photograph relevant marks that are easily visible. Be assured that i'll still play all records both sides all the way through. I wont list records that jump, stick or have defects that effect play. (unless its a rare record, in which case it will be clearly stated)
No records have seam splits unless stated. All records probably play with a bit of background noise in run-in, but I'll only mention this if it continues into the actual music from now on.
If a record is listed as EX/EX. Its like the day you would have bought it 40 years ago, nothing less than perfect. Hope this acceptable to you all, i'm old and its taking the fun out of it fiddling around with the camera.
I am selling off my Husbands record collection. He has collected Punk rock for over 40 years and has over 2000 records. He has given me clear instructions on how to go about this. different bands/ different labels each time with a mixture of rare / everyday releases
I cannot relist..if you miss it its gone for about a year...only have a limited amount I can put up a month and thousands to get through.
You should see all the information you need from the photos. Front cover, Back cover, A-side label, B-side label, both sides of inner sleeve (if applicable), inserts, freebies, Matrix numbers if important. Please look at the photos, they are the description. ZOOM IN, YOU GET WHAT YOU SEE.
Auctions should all end Sundays and posted Mondays.
I have no idea about when or where individual records were bought. He collected from 1978 till 2018. Any signed items are genuine and clearly shown in photos, but obviously no c.o.a. Different pressings, year of issue, country of origin, are all sourced from Discogs..But you should be able to see all you need from the photos. I have bulk bought sturdy brown mailers for safe postage, a cardboard stiffener will be present, all singles have protective covers. There are a few still sealed, but he usually opened them and played them.
I will let all auctions run and list with a below average Discogs price. Please don't ask to help me out, they are going one at a time. I can post three in the one mailer without damage. Any more than three will be another postage charge, sorry about this, it is what it is and pretty fair. No money is made on postage...its the cost of the stamp and the packaging nothing else. I dont think I can answer any questions on individual records unless its something I can see on the sleeve or label, but hopefully you can do the same from the pictures.
