This MEGA RARE black gospel 45 is the only one that I have ever seen and I have lived in the town where the group is from. I have all kind of feelers out....black friends looking for me, ads every now and then, put it out on the grapevine etc etc and ONE in over 25+ YEARS. It has one dandy toe tapper within the first 10 seconds! that being LJW... You Got To Move and with this one you gonna tap them toes and clap them hands. It is a dandy track. I have found out the Rev Barnes has passed on a good while ago and was well regarded as a singer in the community. Still know nothing about Little Junior Walker. The presence of good black gospel is still very strong here in Tunica and the surrounding delta but from my experience (over 25+ in the area) this might be the only group ever recorded out of Tunica. A lot of groups went to Memphis to Style Wooten's Designer records and had some one offs recorded but seemingly nobody from Tunica ever did so I stand behind the statement that it is VERY rare. Now to price. I would not hesitate to put a 1 in front of my asking price IF it did not have the flaws that are in it. Don't think that there is a seller around that even with long attention to detail would not visually describe this one as VG+. It is glossy and has very few marks that look like they might cause noise BUT as we all know there are forgiving marks and angry marks. There are several areas on both sides that have a tick/skip...it is a bit disconcerting but the record plays through fine and with no other problems. Very disappointing to have a record that looks as if it is going to perform beautifully because it is so clean etc not do so but having said that ...there is a whole lot more here to like that the few spots that blemish the whole. Two good sides with one just very, very good mover of a side. Nice record.
