CALLING ALL DISCHORD RECORD COLLECTORS  

 

This is an extremely rare one of a kind item from Dischord Records.  This is the Boycott Stabb EP released by Dischord and Fountain of Youth Records in 1983.  This is a first pressing as the matrix runout etching verifies that this was mastered and pressed by QCA Custom Pressing.  The cover is heavy cardboard stock and the disc runs at 45rpm.  Second pressings come with whiter labels and play at 33rpm.  First pressings of this record are extremely difficult to come by and first pressings with a label error are even rarer.  The vinyl, cover and insert are in excellent condition.  I am the original owner and this is being sold from my personal collection.  It has been carefully stored in a plastic sleeve for 30 years.

COVER - EX, the heavy cardboard stock cover is in extremely good condition with minimal corner wear, spine lettering as shown in the pictures is nearly perfect, the sole cover defect is in the upper right back corner and is shown in the picture, it is above the side two track listings and is the reason for the cover downgrade.  There are no splits or markings.

VINYL - NM, lustrous and in excellent condition, there are no hairlines, no scratches and no blemishes

INSERT (LYRIC SHEET) - NM, there are no defects

LABELS - This is the mispressing as this disc came with two side one labels.  Several pictures are included so that you can see that the matrix runout with the B has a side one label.  The side two label with the track listing is not present on this copy.

If you collect Dischord records, you know that relatively few were made and it is extremely difficult to find first pressings in decent condition.  This will likely be your only opportunity to find a first pressing of a significant early Dischord release in excellent condition as these are no longer available and this copy with the double side one labels is truly unique.  Carefully look at other sold and current listings on Ebay for the "first pressing" of this disc turn out to be the 33rpm second pressing.

These beloved punk rock (and other assorted collectible) vinyl LPs have lived in my personal collection for thirty years.  They have always lived in individual plastic liners and are guaranteed to never have been carelessly tossed into a mosh pit.  They have also never been used to decapitate English zombies.  They may have been played at historically insignificant but outrageous parties at very loud volumes.  May they have another life in which they are loved by you as much as they were loved by me (or at least as much as Sid loved Nancy).
