Up for auction is a stone original U.S. Mono Blue Note (New York) P-pressing (1963) of Grachan Moncur's "Evolution". Groundbreaking avant-garde jazz lp featuring a stunning sextet that includes Jackie McLean and Lee Morgan. Early 60s avant-jazz does not get a whole lot better than this. Gorgeous and brooding. 
DEAD WAX INFO:  BNLP-4153-A etched on Side 1 run-out and BNLP-4153-B etched on Side 2 run-out. Both Sides have the "'P" or ear mark. Both sides also have VAN GELDER stamped into the run-out. Original 1963 Blue Note Mono Plastylite pressing.    VINYL VISUAL: VG and slightly better with some minor marking and slight mottling. Pressure marking from storage on Side 1 - Track 1. 
VINYL PLAY GRADE: VG and much better with very good fidelity. Pressure marking on Side 1 means a little noise (not bad at all) for the first couple of minutes after which the lp settles into a FANTASTIC listen. 
COVER VISUAL: G+ and better with general seam and spine wear. Not too much ring wear. Small piece missing lower front left (see pictures, please). Name on rear in ball point pen (and circled-letter stamp as well). Not a great example, but passable.
COMES WITH POLY-LINED PAPER INNER (I have also put vinyl into a rice plastic audiophile inner).

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item). 
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER).             Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g. 
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory.       SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST. Since a lot of the stuff that I will be selling is of higher end quality, rarely will things be offered overseas. Sorry folks. Again, I can consider requests on an item-by-item basis.
