Description
Very presentable and rare Mono copy of The Graham Bond Organization’s superb 1966 album, featuring some innovative and early use of the Mellotron in a rock context by the Organization’s genius of a leader who tragically took his own life in 1974. Bond’s bandmates Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Dick Heckstall-Smith would of course go on to greater things with Cream, John Mayall and Colosseum. The catalogue number for this album is Columbia 33SX 1750. Matrix numbers are XAX 2950-1/XAX 2951-1.
Sleeve Strong VG+, front laminated with flipbacks. Light wear only, with some age yellowing apparent on the reverse.
Labels Ex+ Very clean. Very light spindle traces only.
Inner VG+ Original polylined bag.
Record Visually a very strong VG+, possibly near Excellent. Lovely shine to the vinyl. Would grade as Ex/Ex+ but for two small scratches on Side 1 (see photo no.9) which produce some ticks on Tracks 3 and 5. There is also a very light scuff on Side 2. Otherwise the audio grades as VG+/Ex, clear and well-defined audio throughout. No sticks or jumps on my deck.
