Description
Grant Green - Feelin' the Spirit - 1963 MONO Blue Note # BLP-4132 (Grant Green, Herbie Hancock, Butch Warren, Billy Higgins)
***(Side 1 # BNLP-4132 A / Side 2 # BNLP-4132 B)*** the EAR is etched on both sides and "Van Gelder" is stamped both sides.
DISC: VG+/VG with clean original luster. There are a few light faint fine hairs on both sides. Side 2 has a "check mark" shaped hair that is felt to touch. There are "pop" ticks past this hair for about 1 minute and 30 seconds of playback, on each revolution. The sound quality is still amazing during these passes, but the ticks are audible. They do NOT overpower the music but are present for entire mentioned duration. All the light hairs on side 1 hardly affect the micro-groove playback. There will be light background noise occasionally throughout but nothing terrible. Side 2's mentioned spots are a little louder, see pic 8 for audible hair. There are some deeper grooves towards the end of each side, the original owner didn't have "tracking" on his record player.
COVER: VG+ or better with very glossy artwork. Back cover still has bright whites. All spines and seems are crisp and intact. Some bumps and knicks to insert side of cover. Title spine bright crisp and legible, all intact. "Dee Smith" is written on back cover. This is a Denver Broncos lineman from the 1960's whose record collection i purchased at his estate sale. The original inner sleeve is present but is smashed, folded, bent and torn. Hardly worth noting, but still present. Most seems are split on it.
