?Grant Green 'Grant's First Stand' 1961 1st Mono Press?
This is Grant Green's fantastic debut for Blue Note Records who he went on to record many albums for, it all started here. And this is the very first Mono press from 1961, all details confirming this can be seen in photos but feel free to ask any questions. Has RVG, the ear and 9M inscribed in the run-out grooves and labels and back cover address match 1st press. The sound is wonderful as ever with these Original Blue Notes.
Vinyl: VG+ Retains lovely gloss and shine, you can see its been played but handled carefully. A few light marks and hairlines when held to light but nothing significant and no feelable scratches. Labels are good. Plays well from start to end, just minor bits of light surface noise hear and there never anything that spoils the music. No skips, jumps, sticks or pops.
Cover: VG A strong top-end VG cover I would say especially for its age, the thick card cover holding together well and spine is good too. Some wear at open edge and corners and some marks, a few stains on back and aging, some light tearing of paper surface by part of orginal green stamp on back and small writing in pen top right. Some very light writing in pencil top left. Looks like original shop stamp from record shop in Paris where probably originally purchased. Original printed paper inner sleeve, has some tears at edges but has been taped and is holding together. Hopefully pics fully show condition of cover, any questions please ask.
