Grateful Dead 2nd Press OZ LP Anthem of the sun EX ’68 Green Warner WS1749


Original 2nd Press OZ LP released in 1968 on the Gold Warner Records Label. Cat: WS1749. Features stamped matrix numbers.
This record  came from a collection in absolutely stunning condition, many not played at all and most only played a few times at best.    
As the second long-player by the Grateful Dead, Anthem of the Sun (1968) pushed the limits of both the music as well as the medium. General dissatisfaction with their self-titled debut necessitated the search for a methodology to seamlessly juxtapose the more inspired segments of their live performances with the necessary conventions of a single LP. 

 Tracks : That’s it for the other one a) Cryptical envelopment b) Quadlibet for tender feet c) The faster we go the rounder we get d) We leave the castle/ New potato caboose/ Born cross eyed/ Alligator/ Caution (Do not stop on tracks).

  There are a few light  spindle marks on labels. Record  has a few light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Gloss cover has some light age spots on back and is in Excellent condition.


Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.

Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post standard airrmail with tracking number.
