Description

Lot of four albums from the Grateful Dead. These all show heavy use but they all play through. Sold as is. Details as follows:
The self titled double LP was released in 1971 on Warner Bros 2 WS 1935. This looks to be an original Santa Maria pressing. The vinyl has spotty background noise, there is a small audible scratch on side 3. Record 1 is better than record 2; generally an enjoyable listen. The cover has split seam, damage, wear, tape. Warner inners.
The triple LP Europe 72 is a Los Angeles pressing reissue on Warner Bros 3 WX 2668, not sure of year. The vinyl has surface scratches and hairlines with spotty background noise and an occasional tick. The front section of the trifold cover is separated from the rest.
The double LP Dead Set is an original EMW pressing, released in 1981 on Arista A2L 8606. This one is pretty noisy, with surface scratches and scuffs. The cover has heavy shelf wear. The inners are not original.
Released in 1968 on Warner Bros / Seven Arts WS1749, this is an original Terra Haute pressing. This on also has lots of surface scratches/scuffs, plays better than it looks but is noisy.
BONUS: I'll also throw in a copy of American Beauty that has a skip on both sides from manufacturing defect. This is a green label original, I think it is Santa Maria pressing.
I will be happy to combine shipping. Review my feedback and buy with confidence.
GRADING All records are first visually graded based around the Goldmine standard - see below for details. Then I spot play grade every record, paying particular attention to any defect I see that may affect sound reproduction. NOTE: Records are dusted, I do not have the equipment to provide a professional cleaning; I recommend a thorough cleaning prior to playing. Rest assured that I grade the records as they are, not how I hope they will sound after cleaning.
I don't use the grades mint or near mint, so the best grade used is EX. The other thing you won't see is anything like +++ - I mean really?  I will provide a grade for the cover and record, not the inner sleeve; nor will I guarantee that the inner sleeve is original to the record unless specifically noted. Records will typically ship in a (probably used) clear plastic cover with the record removed from the sleeve. Box sets will ship with the records in the box.
If you don't agree with the grading of this item and wish to return it, I would appreciate it if you would contact me as soon as possible. For returns other than 'not as described' buyer pays return shipping. Having run an online record store from the mid 90s to 2008 I understand the importance of you knowing exactly what you are buying.
Grading scale: M and NM: over-used grades that I don't use EX: minor visual defect, perhaps a surface mar but should play great VG+: more noticeable blemishes to cover but not too distracting, minor surface noise possible on quiet passages or track leadin but overall a very enjoyable listening experience VG: this grade is not really 'very good'. More visual and audio defects, but cover is intact albeit with noticeable defects and the record will have more visual defects and audible noise, but won't detract much from your listening experience G:  record with his grade would be a placeholder until you can find a better copy. Lousy cover, very noisy but plays through with no skips. P: junk
