  For sale is the Grateful Dead's Blues For Allah, released in 1975 by Grateful Dead Records, manufactured and distributed by United Artists Music and Records Group. In the dead wax between the label and the last track, is etched what appears to be an oval record with two lines radiating from the center hole to create an "A". This etching is commonly called "Circle and Sticks" by collectors and represents the logo for Artisan Sound Recorders of Hollywood, California. This is followed by the matrix numbers 1-C/2-F, indicating that this first edition was mastered at Artisan Sound Recorders then pressed with an early stamper These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve.  This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The lyric insert is Near Mint with slight wrinkles. The cover is graded as VG+ because of some ring wear, edge rubs, corner blunts and a small stress cracks along the spine. The spine has color loss from these cracks and rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of some sleeve marks and faint surface scratches. I'm play grading it as VG+ because of some occasional low level surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet sections. It's been played on audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life left to it.  This is still one of the best copies of this rare album that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find another in this condition. A great addition to anyone's collection. I have other Rock and Roll albums, as well as records of all different genres in my Ebay store. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection.
