Grateful Deads Jerry Garcia' Record Store Day 2022 release, of the 2010 CD release of Ragged But Right. Garcia Acoustic Band Live album from the 30 shows they did from 1987 thru 1988. The band featured John Kahn, David Nelson, of the New Riders and Black Mountain Boys fame, Sandy Rothman on mandolin, Dobro and banjo, Kenny Kosek on violin andthe current JGB timekeeper, David Kemper on snare. Released for the first time on vinyl and limited to 7500 pieces pressed. These LPs are 180 gram vinyl and the gatefold album cover included the plastic lined higher quality record sleeves as well. This Sandy Rothman produced piece was only the third item released of the Acoustic Band performances after the Lunt-Fontanne 1987 live release, the later live at Eel River, The JGB live show releases bonus disc was the Acoustic Bands opening set and the well known, Almost Acoustic, the only piece released prior to Jerrys passing. Mixed by Sam Culter and remastered for 180gram vinyl by Fred Kvorkian, I shit you not! As opposed to Almost Acoustic, Sandy did liner notes here with a short paragraph on each track for this release. The first 3 sides are from the Lunt Fontanne Broadway run of 1987, I caught them all. Matinees and Evening performances, with Bobby as a guest and Uncle Bobo giving out best costume prizes for Halloween. It was nice to drive home every night to Brooklyn with a downtown stop at Mamouns or Rays Pizza. Was picking up my evening tickets exactly when Matinees went on sale. Had first row for all Matinees. Those were the days. Any way I digress, the last side is from the Wiltern and Warfield shows later that year. It is new, sealed, unplayed, limited and out of print. Never before released on vinyl released for Record Store Day says alot too as far as collectability is concerned. Love you some Jerry. Anyway shipped with USPS Media Mail.
