Description
Original UK Warner Brothers orange label stereo LP.The Dead's fifth album released on June 14, 1970. It was the first album they released that year and was a return to a country rock n roots feel and the songs were all Garcia/Hunter compositions. This is the original issue with the upside down rear cover and A-1T B1-T matrices and C-1 H-1 stampers of the earliest first presses!
The West Brothers matt textured sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light edge/corner wear & some very light storage rubbing on the outer cover. The spine is intact and still fully readable, the plain inner is intact & is in EX condition. The record is in visually EX condition with a couple of very faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of light spindle markings. The sound reproduction is EX, with definately no loud clicks or pops and definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall the record plays great and is a really loud & clear listen! The matrix nos. are; WS-1869, A-1*T matrix stamper 1-C, B-1*T matrix stamper 1-H. This is one of the very early pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems! All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg,
Will post to Europe (including all EU countries & Russia, Finland, Sweden, etc.) and Rest of the World (USA, Japan, Australia, Korea etc.), but airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
Europe, 1 LP £8.00, extra single lp's £2.00.
Rest of the World, 1 LP £12.00, extra single LP's £3.00.
