PLEASE CONSIDER THAT IN THESE EBAY AUCTIONS I USE A STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE GRADING SYSTEM THAT CAN'T DISAPPOINT ANYONE BUT THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT ,FOR EXAMPLE, A VG+ COVER OR A VG+ VINYL IT'S EQUIVALENT TO "BAD CONDITIONS" BUT SIMPLY THAT MY GRADE IT'S STRICT AND PROBABLY EQUIVALENT TO AN EX OF SOMEONE ELSE WITH NOT A SO STRICT GRADE. I HAVE SOLD IN THESE AUCTIONS EX- RECORDS THAT WERE SURELLY M- COPIES BUT I PREFERE TO BE STRICT TO AVOID ANY DISAPPOINTEMENT BECAUSE I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY REPUTATION.
Record Collector Magazine Grading System MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
graded VG+/VG for a strict Record Collector magazine grading system
label:the british pressed ORIGINAL BPG 63087 label does have a name wrote in black on the left side of side two plus some more spindle marks around the spindle hole so VG+.
cover: the cover it's front laminated and does have a NICE LOOKING. The front does have some light creases and one a little more evident on the bottom right side. The back does have some minor yellowing along the upper and bottom edges plus a small name wrote on the left upper corner. The spine it's quite good for to be a non laminated spine but the writing are not totally readables but still quite acceptables. I grade this cover VG+ .
vinyl: the vinyl does have some light marks but apparently none of them it's feelables, anyway i think that some light crackles must be aspected during the plays. The first track start very well but after some seconds I can some very little clicks 3 or 4 that sincerelly are not so annoying, rest of the track plays well with some light crackling just for some moments and really hardly to hear. This seems to be the structure of the sound for all the lp, these light marks do close to nothing during the plays ad this because the very high MONO pressing, with deep grooves that well preserve the sound against the light marks. Anyway some minor crackling it's present sometimes but nothing too bad really and really very minor and basically between the tracks so I have to grade the vinyl VG but a VERY VERY ENJOYABLE VG...a little more crackling just on the track "Denise at 16" (last song of side one) because it's an acoustic guitar based instrumental so the sound it's not very full and the crackling come out. So please consider this too... a nice but not perfect copy and if you're a realistic guy make your offer with confidence, my grade it's strict and so my caution but sincerelly...he plays well!
review: Brilliant debut of one of the most importants british songwriters. This has been reissued 3 years later with a totally different cover and the same label but the original BPG prefix label and MONO it's really difficult to find so this is a rare opportunity... don't miss!
