Great Masters Of The Keyboard Volumes 1-5 Complete Series Mahler Debussy Piano.
This is a beautiful series put out by columbia in 1950. This is the complete 5 records which features recordings of some of the most accomplished composers and pianists of the late 19th century and early 20th century. If you are a pianist, this is a truly magnificent documents of the actual composers playing their pieces.
I came across these records almost 15 years ago in Boston and have held on to them carefully for years. The jackets are in VG to VG+ condition, as Volumes 2,4, and 5 have some scotch tape on the edges of them. I never even noticed them in all the years I have had these records. You can see a picture of this in one of the pictures. There is some light wear and small pencil writing on a few of the backs of the jackets, as pictured (zoom in).
The records are nice and shiny, but there is small of wear, I would grade these as a light VG+. No major scratches, and very very light scuff, but it has to be noted. However, these records are over 70 years old, and are solo piano recordings, I assume there is light surface noise. This is a nice collection and I don’t think these 5 have ever been offered together on ebay.
