Description

Great VG+ mono first pressing copy of Blue Hour, a superb session featuring Stanley Turrentine with the 3 Sounds. Blue Note BLP 4057. Thoroughly enjoyable copy with deep groove labels that have “Blue Note Records Inc. 47 West 63d” address. Vinyl has “RVG” and Plastylite “Ear” stamped into the deadwax. Cleaned ultrasonically using Klaudio system.

Vinyl: VG+. Record mostly plays VG++ but there are a couple of little pops during quieter sections (it’s a very quiet session). These never really distract from the greatness of Van Gelder’s production and of course the music. Side B shows some cosmetic scratches but these do not affect play at all. The grooves are glossy and clean. Deep groove labels bright and clean.

Cover: VG. Front cover is lovely and glossy and retains lamination well. Cover is structurally sound but has two small seam splits on two sides. Spine has some top damage but majority is fine and most of text is legible. Some foxing and one water stain on back. Otherwise front photograph and back text are clear and legible throughout.

LP will come in protective Mobile Fidelity archive-quality sleeve. Cover will come in thick vinyl protective sleeve.

Packed expertly by professional shipping company and mailed within a day of receipt of payment via USPS Priority Mail with tracking number provided. Alternately, LP can be picked up for free locally in San Diego 92037 using safe methods (wearing masks and gloves).
