Description
An original Mono 1st press on Atlantic from 1966 in the UK. Matrix A1/B1. Be aware 'Green Onions' was available in the UK on London from '64 so there are earlier copies, but not on Atlantic. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve date code to April 1966 [/46]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. No complaints at all - a very clean player that allows that terrific audio to come pouring through your speakers. Interference is minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments.
Cover (Ex) An easy Ex all the way. How many 1966 covers look this good after 50 years+ use! The front is shiny like new with only a couple of very light thumbnail creases. The rear seems to have entirely avoided the ageing process - perhaps just a couple of light marks..that's all. Edge wear is super light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat.
