Description

Grieg. Piano Concerto in A minor Op 16 / Grainger. Country Gardens and Ramble on Love. Suite on Danish Folk Songs for Orchestra.

Percy Grainger with orchestra conducted by Per Druier. Recorded live on February 25, 1957.

This record was withdrawn before sale and only a few remain.

Vanguard VRS-1098. Red and silver grooved label. Made in New York.

Matrix VRS 1098 A 1S JJ / VRS 1098 B 1S JJ.

There is a blue ink signature on the cover (see photo). It is believed to be that of the conductor who has corrected the spelling of his surname as well. 

The record has been visually graded as Ex+. There are a few light surface sleeve marks and a very slight warp (approx. 1mm) on a small section of the outer edge which does not affect play.

The heavy card jacket is graded as Ex. There is a small close rip in the open edge, slight discolouring of the very outer edges and two small labels.

The original inner sleeve is enclosed but not used as it is slightly split. A newer sleeve has been used.

The record will be posted in a strong record mailer.
