Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) Pepper Records/Jive 9230491 UK 2001
Original UK issue. Owned from new since it was released in 2001. Not played for almost twenty years, during which time it has been stored carefully. Cleaned with Vinyl Clear cleaning solution and play graded.
Vinyl grade - visual: VG+. There are numerous light sleeve removal hairlines and other surface marks under light but these are cosmetic, not affecting play.
Vinyl grade - audio: VG+. The records play through almost perfectly, with just a little very light crackle here and there, hardly noticeable. Importantly however, there is one flaw: a single skip on Side A, Track 1 at 2:20. This has been present since the record was new and I assume is a manufacturing fault. There is nothing obvious on the vinyl where this happens, such as a scratch or stubborn dust particle. On my system it can be overcome by adding slight extra weight, such as a 1p coin, to the stylus arm, and it plays fine. Therefore systems with a heavier stylus may not encounter this issue. Nevertheless, it is there and should be disclosed. If you are looking for a 100% flawless copy, then please be clear that this is not that copy.
Sleeve grade: VG+. Very minor corner and edge wear. Very minor creasing. Minor sticker residue (see photo).
Inner sleeve grade: EX. Almost pristine.
Shipped in strong mailer with cardboard stiffeners. Records inside their inners removed from jacket to prevent damage during transit, and all placed in clear plastic resealable sleeve.
