I have for sale a true collectors piece in an overall condition that is superb considering its age and rarity, namely the 12" vinyl LP (original UK 1st pressing) of Groundhogs - Thank Christ For The Bomb, fully complete with original textured gatefold sleeve.
Before going into further details; a little background. This LP forms part of a personal family collection that is being gradually sold off. This record has not passed through the hands of multiple collectors but has remained safely stored and completely untouched in a corner of my parents attic for around 45 years. For the purpose of this auction I have inspected it closely, evaluated its condition to the best of my ability, and I present it to you now with the most accurate and honest description possible. While I confess that neither my camera, nor my photography skills are particularly great, I hope that at least some of the photos, taken in as much natural light as possible, will do the item justice. Anyway, onto the all-important details:

Textured gatefold sleeve with 'Zak Production' and 'Clearwater Conceptions' on inside lower right.

ALL THE ABOVE INDICATIONS OF A FIRST PRESSING HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND VERIFIED PERSONALLY.
Record grading / condition
VINYL I have studied this record on both sides under a bright light, and can see only very minimal evidence of needle wear, hairline marks or human handling. It has lost none of its original lustre, and overall is unusually clean and unmarked considering its age. I've tried my best to demonstrate this to you in my photos. I would genuinely defy you to locate another copy in such good condition! Close to near-mint in my opinion.
LABEL Original blue / turquoise 'Liberty' label. No fading, rubbing or smudging of the lettering at all, perfectly clear and well defined printing. Some visible spider lines around spindle hole (mainly on side 1), which are about the only signs of use on the label overall.
INNER DUST COVER Not a lot to say here, original inner paper dust sleeve, the exact same one that came with the album (with 'Plastic bags can be dangerous' warning). One or two slight creases.
OUTER SLEEVE
Original texture sleeve in excellent condition, spine fully legible with no damage. Very minor rubbing to corners but still largely sharp and squared off. One or two small marks, a little rubbing and creasing to the cover but nothing major, no signs of fading, the printed design & lettering are still clear. Front cover has a white circular sticker on it (I haven't attempted to remove it for fear of damaging the underside), perhaps this could be removed with the right product? Inner gatefold is very clean with almost no signs of wear. Overall in very good shape for its age, hopefully the photos demonstrate this.OVERALL SUMMARY A rare original pressing in fantastic condition, particularly the actual vinyl which has been extremely well preserved. A fantastic addition to any classic rock vinyl collection. Good luck!
