Description
Not only was Little Jimmy Dempsey an extremely gifted Nashville guitarist and songwriter, but he was also an early pioneer in documenting radio premiums and publishing fanzines about them. In 1984 he organized the very first Radio Premiums specific collectors show held in Evansville Indiana.
This is issue 1-4 of his Wonderful World of Radio Premiums fanzine. These are a treasure trove of premium ads and rare instructions, as well as Jimmy's observations about rarity and the hobby in general. They are a fun read.
Jimmy only published 100 copies of each issue, so they are not very common. He was also known to do second printings on a one-off basis for friends, and issues 1, 2 and 3 are second printings. Issue 4 is a first printing. Because they were done on a copier in the first place, there is not much of a generation loss between the first and second printings. All 4 issues are in excellent condition.
I've been collecting premiums for over 45 years, and it's time to let some of them go to new homes. You can learn more about premiums and see lots of my collection on the Facebook Radio Premiums page. Please check out all the photos and feel free to ask any other questions you might have. Shipped via USPS in a Flat Rate Padded Mailer. U.S bidders only please. Happy to combine shipping on multiple wins.
Returns accepted only if item is not as described or depicted in photos.
