Description

33-1/3 rpm 10" LP "The Guitars of Africa No. 5" recorded by Hugh Tracey.  Part of the Music of Africa series.  Released on London in Long Playing Microgroove as LB-829 in 1954.  Side I is a variety of styles from Unganda, Kenya and South Rhodesia.  Includes Kiss-cha Moto Moto, Guabi Guabi, Anagikafu Ragitagi, and Nyon Anyona.  Side II comes from the southern part of the Belgian Congo where the most important tribal groups are to be found in the basin of the Kasai river.  It includes Masanga, Mama Na Mwana, A Desayo, and Bayoka Malinga.  Made in England, the record itself grades in Very Good++ condition and the album jacket grades Very Good/+ with no splits or tears, light overall wear.
