Guns N' Roses Appetite For Destruction 1987 LP Original Banned Cover USED / PROMO

The original cover art for Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction was a painting by underground artist Robert Williams. It depicted a robotic figure looming over a woman who had been sexually assaulted, while a metal monster/alien leaped in to defend her. 
Because the artwork was highly controversial, major retailers refused to stock the album. It was quickly pulled and replaced with the now-iconic "cross and skulls" design by Billy White Jr. (which featured skulls representing each band member), while the original Williams painting was moved to the inside of the album packaging. 
First Pressing/Sent to Pittsburgh Radio Station as a promo Un-played since the mid 1990's
Plastic sleeve and shipped in heavy duty protective LP box
This is an old record but let's be honest - great albums get well played and the sleeves and inner sleeves take some hammer. Sleeve is in a Good  condition with visible signs of wear and tear, age and creasing.. Please see pictures for detail. Record plays very well - vinyl's sheen lost it's punchy vibrancy but sound is still punchy - surface noise as you might expect - some clicks.
