1st original 1955 US mono pressing with "laurel" labels and wearless spindle hole

 One small sticker (previous owner's name) on label 1

Deep Groove on both sides

Visual grade: VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD+

The playing surface of this thick and very heavy vinyl shows several light sleeve scuffs and hairline marks, mostly evident on Side A. NO scratches, NO groove wear

Audio grade

Plays much better than it looks !

Side A

First track: EXCELLENT+: just an insignificant episode of lightest background rustlin', well below the music level

Second/ Fourth/Fifth tracks: EXCELLENT: few, occasional and light tics

Third track: EXCELLENT-: continous background cracklin' / tickin' along the first half of the track

Side B

First track: EXCELLENT-- : occasional light background cracklin' / tickin'

Second/ Third/ Fourth/ Fifth tracks EXCELLENT-: few occasional and light tics. NO clicks, NO skips, NO noise                       

Cleaned with CLEAR AUDIO VACUUM MATRIX using its PURE GROOVE professional solution

 

COVER : NEAR MINT- / EXCELLENT

1st original solid, laminated front, cardboard rear jacket  in nice condition

The front side retains its stricking original shape and is graded as such (NM-) only because of :

  • slight beginning of laminate peeling near the opening edge
  • insignificant, hardly noticable, lightest impact to the right corners

NO other flaws !

Seams and spine: INTACT with NO wear

With NO ring-wear, NO seam splits, NO stamps, NO holes, NO stains

Back side graded as such (EX) because of the following flaws, not affecting the integrity of the graphics whatsoever:

  • small ink writings
  • a couple of small hint of paper rubbing near the top left corner
