Description
Up for auction is Columbia 67087-D, a 12-inch acoustic 78rpm disc, circa 1926.
Hamilton Harty, conducting the Halle Orchestra, plays:
A Roman Carnival, by Berlioz (complete on 2 sides)
Condition: disc is in E- condition.
Grading scale: N, E, VG, G (+ or - signs will modify the basic grade for slightly better or worse).
Shipping: shellac 78s are placed between squares of cardboard, bound with tape, then floated in styrofoam in the box.
This method of packing has proved extremely effective over the years for shipping fragile shellac 78s.
