Description
Hard Bop Deep Groove LP by HANK MOBLEY & HIS ALL STARS. (Blue Note 1544) Original mono, heavy vinyl, deep groove pressing (on both sides) RVG in dead wax; no 'r', the 47 West 63rd New York 23 address is on both sides. The cover is in VG+/VG++ condition. Front looks very nice, with just a bit of dulling. A tiny bit of chipping on the edges but very minor. The back is nice and clean with just a small light rubber stamped circle with a N.R. in it. (It's located at the top right in the white area 2 inches under the large 1544) Side one of the vinyl is a nice VG++ and plays really nice. Now the semi-bad news. Side 2 also looks like VG++ but then there is the 2 1/2" scuff/scratch. It starts as a scuff on track #2 (Lower Stratosphere) and as soon as track #3 (Mobley's Musings) starts it you can hear a medium click 90% of the way through the song. So what starts off as a scuff turns into a scratch on track #3. What a drag.
Ebay says I must send this out by Media mail...WRONG. Anything I sell in the states that sells for over $100 must be sent by Priority Mail which is $10.00 which will include signiture confirmation and on-line tracking. Because of it's rarity this LP must be shipped by Express Mail International, which costs $50 but I will cover half so your share is $25. It is the only shipping method that Ebay/Paypal will protect you and I with. It comes with signiture confirmation and on-line tracking. All LPs will be shipped in a firm cardboard LP mailer, with 2 pieces of rigid cardboard on either side of the LP. Buy more and save on shipping. I except Paypal. At the end of the auction I will send you an invoice. Do not pay until I send you an invoice. Thanx a lot & good luck. Look for more rare Jazz titles that I'll be listing on Ebay the next 2 days. Some nice rare Blue Notes, Prestige, Riverside etc.
