Description
Please read my description carefully before bidding. I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.
This one is the first original mono and deep-grooved pressing of Prestige Records LP-7061 "MOBLEY'S 2ND MESSAGE" by Hank Mobley. For me, this album is ranked in the "Prestige Top 5", both in terms of music and collectible value.
This one is an original issue from Prestige Records, not a reissue version by OJC or Classic Records. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1956 and 1953, with "RVG" etched on the dead wax of both sides. Deep Groove on both labels. Labels address: PRESTIGE RECORDS INC., 446 W. 50th., ST., N.Y.C. Very rare.
Artists Include: Hank Mobley (tenor saxophone), Kenny Dorham (trumpet), Walter Bishop (piano), Doug Watkins (bass), Art Taylor (drums).
The vinyl played VG+ on Side A. Hairline scratch (see picture) causes small tics during passage of song no. 1 only (not overpowering musics). Side B plays with soft tics during some passages of song no. 1 and 2 and 3. Small pops during song no.2. There is a microfine line in the middle of song no.3. It causes stuck. Thus, I rated Side B: G-
The cover is VG.
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.
You will be satisfied. And I will accept a free return. Please bid with confidence.
