LP is in Near Mint condition.
The thick lustrous vinyl is nearly flawless, without marks scuffs,or scratches of any kind. The fidelity is superb,with no distortion, pops, clicks,or background noise of any kind.
Jacket is in Near Mint condition. Original heavy and glossy jacket is in Near Mint condition. There are virtually no marks, scuffs, or blemishes of any kind.There is a small impact (notch) on the spine, as in image.This lp is stored in the original inner sleeve. Hank Mobley emerged in the early 1950s as a sideman with Max Roach and Dizzy Gillespie. His tone symbolized hard bop and he was quickly recognized as one of the major up-and-coming tenor-saxophonists. He fulfilled his potential as an original member of both Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and the Horace Silver Quintet and he was also a member of Miles Davis' bands during 1961-62. However today Hank Mobley is remembered most not for his work as a sideman but for his string of consistently rewarding and classic Blue Note albums in the 1950s and '60s. No Room For Squares, from 1963, co-stars the great trumpeter Lee Morgan and the adventurous pianist Andrew Hill in one of his few hard bop sets. On such inventive originals as "Me 'N You" and "Three Way Split," Mobley, whose tone had hardened a bit and whose style had opened up to the influence of John Coltrane, is heard at the peak of his formidable powers.
