HANNIBAL HANNIBAL B&C CAS 1022 (UK) 1970 ORIGINAL UK LP IN MINT UNPLAYED CONDITION
the record is as-new - mint and unplayed - from an archive collection - surfaces are super glossy - not even any light hairlines - perfect jet black labels have absolutely NO spindle marks
great gatefold cover is by ‘Keef’ (famous for his fine Vertigo sleeve photography) and this super example is VERY near mint - perfect spine and seams - really beautiful and just about impossible to find in this simply immaculate condition
album produced by Rodger Bain for Big Bear Artists, the Birmingham management stable headed by Big Jim Simpson (Black Sabbath, Bakerloo, The Dog That Bit People, Indian Summer, Tea & Symphony among others)
Hannibal is one of the great progressive records of the era - each and every one of the six long cuts is a real standout, offering some of the strongest instrumentation you could wish to encounter - the extended, mindblowing, soloing on ‘Winter ’ is one of the finest pieces of electric guitar I have ever heard, possibly THE finest - I am a guitarist myself so I KNOW just how good this is!
