Jon Anderson had adopted the familiar 'Hans Christian' for a little more notice, but the career move wasn't to succeed. However, joining a group of extremely talented musicians proved a MUCH better idea.
This man's dulcet tones were a blessing that is clear on such beautiful compositions as 'Time And A Word', 'Long Distance Runaround' and 'South Side Of The Sky' for example.
This is the original issue of this cool rare double-sided 45 (both tracks are great).
The single received zero radio airplay.
YES started off well playing London's Soho club The Marquee to good reviews, and their albums are fantastic! Time And A Word is indispensable in my opinion. Then...... with Fragile and Close To The Edge they ascended to another higher plane - two of the absolute BEST albums of the era.
Before 'Yes', Jon and the others were seasoned recording veterans.
This single is in archive quality condition!
