Out of my extensive record collection: ... rare German first press *WHITE LABEL PROMO* vinyl 2LP set released in the early 60s on DEUTSCHE GRAMMOPHON GESELLSCHAFT (DGG) stereo label with catalognumbers 138778 and 138779. On the labels is states "SAMPLE COPY - NOT FOR SALES" and there are blue stamps stating "UNGEPRUEFTES MUSTER" which translates into "Unaudited Sample" ... These records were given to only a few DGG employees at the time. They came in regular DGG innersleeves only without any cover or box which were simply not finalized or printed yet. These very early copies would have been shipped with the red stereo cover, and they come out of the vast collection of a former DGG boardmember - both vinyl are in pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition and are obviously unplayed - perfect! Fantastic performances by Hans Hotter recorded with superb audiophile soundquality. See photos.
