"HANS IS HIP", HANS KOLLER QUARTET
Discovery Records DL 2005, released in 1954
Leonard Feather says in the liner notes that this the first album by a German modern jazz group.
Features the pianist Jutta Hipp (Hans is hip, get it?).
The vinyl is a solid VG. There is some snap crackle pop, but it's not overwhelming by any means. No skips.
Let's call the sleeve G+. The bottom and both side seams are split, there's ring wear on the front, some paper loss where a sticker was removed at some point, one bent corner and tanning to the back.
A rare EP.
