Description
DICK POWELL was the cheerful, audience-pleasing tenor voice of most of those early '30s Warner Bros. musical extravaganzas, and rightly so! From the 1934 picture, "HAPPINESS AHEAD," he sings the eponymous title song, and "POP! GOES YOUR HEART."
(I love how, in "Footlight Parade," Powell is nepotistically imposed on the harassed Jimmy Cagney, but turns out to be truly great, much to Cagney's surprise!)
This original 1934 English Decca F.5404 is in lovely E condition. Master pressed on both sides.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!
