HAROLD VICK “Steppin’ Out!” P, RVG, LAM, Blue Note 4183 Mono Vinyl

This is the first edition, 1963, “Van Gelder" stamped, Laminated Cover, P-pressing of Harold Vick's "Steppin' Out" on the "New York" labels of Blue Note BLP 4183. Musicians include Harold Vick - tenor saxophone, Blue Mitchell – trumpet, John Patton – organ, Grant Green – guitar, Ben Dixon - drums.

Deep Groove VINYL plays with consistent medium to loud level surface noise (i.e, static, crackle, ??,????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments), pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are very dynamic  and clear. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Weak gloss. Many hairline marks, including two long feelable marks on Side 1, cover entire length of Side 1.  The “New York” labels show wear and spindle marks. See photos.

LAMINATED COVER is in Good shape, super shiny, corners worn. Water damage visible lower quarter of cover and back jacket. Seams and spine good.  "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23" back jacket shows water damage, writing, ringwear. Please see photos.
