Original 1933 French issue, first pressing , with orig. sl.
A text sheet supplied for your sing-along.
Although published as by "Kanui & Lula", the classic
recording of "Oua Oua" was performed by Billy Kanui
alone with his Hawaiian guitar, recorded in Paris on
June 21, 1933. On the "Tomi Tomi" side he is joined by
his French wife Lula, playing the ukulele.
The song "Oua Oua" was used in a mobile (cell) phone
TV spot in Austria in 2003 and again for Vittel mineral
water in France in 2009, adding to the succes of this
recording among a generation that downloads ring tones.
Actually, the song was composed by Prince Leleiohaku
in 1860, the original title being "Kaua i ka Hua Hua'a",
which means, "We Two In The Spray" (with clear double
entendre about the 'spray').

needle, using no noise reduction for grading.
Grading scale for 78s according to VJM standards: N- E+ E E- VG+ VG VG- G+

No packing charges. We sandwich your discs between several squares of stiff corrugated
cardboard, then use bubble wrap around and pack inside a sturdy record mailing box with
more padding material for safe transport.
