This is a lovely example of this 50 year old record which is in great condition with the very rare poster. It is notoriously hard to find good examples with an acceptable cover as it was very prone to wear, this one looks great.
This record has recently been unearthed from long term storage and formerly owned by a veteran of the British late 1960s counterculture scene.  Values of Hawkwind albums are now rising fast following renewed interest in the band following the publication of the Joe Banks book Hawkwind - Days of the Underground which reappraises Hawkwind's unique music. This album features many of the band's classic songs that would subsequently be central to their 'Space Ritual' show and subsequent tours.  It also featured artwork by the renown counter culture artist Barney Bubbles with rear sleeve notes by singer and poet Robert Calvert that build the band's science fiction mythology.  This is an essential and definitive Hawkwind album.    The record is in overall EXCELLENT condition.  There are a few visible (non-feelable) marks but these do not effect play.  The labels are clean and writing & tear free with no visible spindle wear.  I play tested the record and it sounded great. I noted a couple of very minor low level crackles on side 2 track one but this is not intrusive.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT conditionThere is very minor ring wear to the front cover and minor shelf wear. All edges, spine and corners are straight and in good condition.  On, the photo of the front there appears a blue area in the central design but this is just a camera reflection when I took the picture and is not on the actual item.  Its a really nice sleeve.
The 'Star Rats' poster is Nr MINT condition in its original folds. There are no pinholes or blue tack marks and it does not appear to have been hung on a wall.  Folds are not worn. Colours are original and vibrant.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.  The bottom edge has a split edge but otherwise the seams are intact and there is only very minor creasing.
Please look carefully at the pictures which are part of the description.
I broadly grade records according to on the 'Record Collector' grading guide.
The item will be sent packed out of the inner sleeve in a new poly lined inner and encased in a plastic outer sleeve in a card record mailer with extra stiffener.
I love music and have been buying and selling records, memorabilia and music related items for many years. Please check my feedback and buy with confidence.
