Description
I imported this from Japan almost thirty years ago, and never did find out when the actual pressing date was. However, the label photo shows enough stamper and catalogue information for anyone wanting to research this. The other LPs shown on the reverse of the obi, and on the insert, should also provide clues. If you find out, I would be interested to know! Japanese pressings are, of course, considered the best and are much sought by audiophiles. The insert is one two-sided sheet, mint, in Japanese, and includes photos of other releases on the Liberty catalogue. I have no idea if lyrics are included, or what the text says.
Condition wise, the good news is that the record is in perfect condition and has never been played. The grooves are shiny and stunningly immaculate. Check out the spindle hole! When I removed it from the (poly) inner sleeve - for the first time in those nearly thirty years - I could even smell the stamper lubricant. On the downside, the record was shipped to me in the sleeve, and there are some (relatively minor) beginnings of splitting to two edges. You should also be able to see a tiny bump to the top right corner as viewed from the front. Again, this occurred in the original shipping from Japan. There is absolutely no wear or damage associated with use (or storage).

Should anyone out there in cyberspace be wondering whether I'm sitting on any kind of significant stash of Hawkwind rarities, the answer is - You'd better believe it! Just testing the water for now...
